Welcome to Oakmeadians Ladies Rugby Club

Oakmeadians ladies rugby team are a Bournemouth based club who play in Championship South West 2.

The team finished second in the league for the 2008/09 season- their best result to date!

Based at Meyrick Park near Bournemouth Town Centre, the women’s rugby team train on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm. Matches are played on Sundays. The team is coached by John Ackerman who is a very experienced coach, having coached the Royal Navy, and is a huge asset to the team.

In 2008 the ladies established themselves as an effective 7s squad, entering a number of tournaments all over the UK. The team were Plate winners at Bournemouth, Windsor, Bath and Nottingham.
